Whats the best course to take to be a sports therapist?
mpal asked:
I’m a medical school graduate, but find myself interested in sports therapy. I’ve done research and found the main programs available are masters in physiotherapy, applied sciences in human movement, and exercise for rehabilitation. Which program would be considered the best in terms of a career in sports therapy?

Vocational Rehabilitation Funding?
Shannon asked:
My boyfriend is going through the vocational rehabilitation program because of a bad knee and severe bipolar disorder. His knee has kept him out of work for several months due to his inability to get to work after we had a problem with our vehicle. The walk to the bus stop killed his knee and he had to quit after some time. The thing is he just went to the doctor through voc rehab and the doctor told him there was nothing wrong with his knee. The thing is we KNOW there is something bad wrong with it as he can not walk without a limp nevertheless walk for long distances and can sometimes not even walk at all. 2 years ago a doctor told him he needed surgery on it. I am curious about the funding towards voc rehab because my boyfriend def got a feeling of the doctor just not wanting to deal with his problem. Is voc rehab paid per person and “case solved”? This would explain them just wanting to tell him theres nothing wrong. Will voc rehab allow a 2nd opinion? I’m quite distressed.
We are located in Florida.

So now that the set free church in Anaheim CA has been uncovered as a biker gang ?
Lizard of Ahaz Reducted asked:
Is the state of CA and the Federal government finally going to stop supporting them as a rehabilitation program ? Some of the others have been closed due to drug distribution and prostitution yet the state continues to send paroles to their ” ranches ” for ” rehabilitation ” . Religious indoctrination doesn’t stop criminals from being criminals anyway . Wouldn’t the government be better off supporting secular based programs that placed emphasis on personal responsibility that supporting criminal gangs .

Marine animal rehabilitation education. your opinion?
Amada asked:
I have two choices for where I could go to receive my BS degree. I’m specializing in marine rehabilitation. I’ve been trying to decide on these two schools (I won’t name them to avoid biased advice).
School 1: I can receive a Marine Bio degree, but I will be less likely to get as much veterinary experience. I will have no minor, and will not have anything to fall back on if i don’t get into my desired field- it’s competitive. This school has a “pre-vet” organization, but they don’t actually have a veterinary program- the closest thing they have is a 6 week summer program for this degree.
School 2: While this school doesn’t have a marine biology degree, I can take any major I want (to have an alternate career plan), and minor in oceanography. They also have an actual veterinary clinic that deals with large, small, and exotic animals, and a branch that is specifically for Marine Bio that I could (hopefully) transfer to later to get that portion of my education. So can someone help?

Can I find any Asperger’s Syndrome rehabilitation assistance online?
Confused about life asked:
I have Asperger’s Syndrome, and am currently having extensive issues in my life. In the Fall 2006 semester, I dropped out of the engineering program because I was unable to handle the pressure of a required class designed to simulate the work environment. I found that while I had the classes on paper, I did not have any skills in reality, and even though I graduated with a biology degree, I possess few practical skills from that discipline.
I do realize that I will have to work someday in order to get anywhere in life. I have to do something besides sit in my parent’s house and do nothing besides sit on the computer. I would like to ask where I can receive low-cost rehabilitation for Asperger’s Syndrome online or around the STL area that would be effective in my situation. Thank you very much.
When I had the opportunity to go to college, my parents would not allow me to select a college that suited me or let me make some of my own choices. Another reason I had to drop out was because my dad became very sick and my doctor wanted me to spend time with him so that he would feel better. As a result, I am now in a position where I am not sure if I can afford to return to college, because my parents were helping me, and now they refuse because they are displeased with me. I was recently bitten by a spider, which has caused me to now require surgery. I was obviously not performing at my best because of the pain, and my family was so angry at me, accusing me of being happy at the family’s misfortunes on some occasions and said that “every good thing you have going for you will be taken away so quickly” just because I was 30 seconds late in getting in the car to go the doctor. My situation is improving because I now know I need to shape their perceptions of me. Thanks!

Options if defaulted on a federal student loan?
aurora asked:
My boyfriend defaulted on a federal student loan in 1995, and his wages have been garnished ever since. None of the money has ever been applied to the principal. The loan holder will drop $8,000 in collection charges if the loan is paid off in a lump sum.Yet, he can’t get this kind of financing ($35,000) at a regular bank because of his poor credit, and because he has already consolidated once. If he enters the loan holder’s “rehabilitation” program and pays additional money for 9 months (on top of the garnishment) they will drop the default status, enabling him to get the financing, but they will not drop the collection charge. He can’t get a home equity line of credit, and the typical student loan financers won’t help him because of the “default status” on this loan - a catch 22. Who can go to that will loan him the money to refinance this nightmare? It seems like they make it difficult for him to get out of this because it is a cash cow for them, and a perfectly legal scam.
My boyfriend defaulted on a student loan. He made a mistake and is not trying to “welch” on the deal. He is trying to fix his mistake. It is a legal scam because they make it difficult for him to do so because this is a CASH COW for Sallie Mae. I posted this question to see if anyone else knew where to go, not for you to reign down your judgment on him.
He has paid the price already and this SCAM is designed for him to pay the price until he dies. How much does he have to be punished? It’s outrageous!
He’s not HITLER for crying out loud!
